approach The first impression of the villa is the confrontation with a vertical plane blocking the site. The guidance of the driveway leads towards the lowered service entry on the left forcing vehicles to turn right to the main entry. Basically the facade is closed to the front, only penetrated by two balconies and the canopy. It acts as a barrier, unfolding itself thru entering.

entry To emphasize the main entry, Le Corbusier attached a massive canopy to the front facade. It is supported by two steel cables. The service entry is lowered, with access by steps leading down. A small balcony above helps to define this entrance.

movement The movement thru the building is divided in the first two levels into a service and main entry. On level 1 the service infrastructure changes to the private infrastructure.
