free plan In 1914 Le Corbusier developed the Domino System which gave birth to several new principles, the 'Five points of a New Architecture'. With the structural frame of Villa Garche Le Corbusier takes advantage of the new technologies. With the system of pilotis he frees the levels for circulation, it allows him a roof garden with a flat roof, an independent facade with ribbon windows and the free plan. The free plan provides space for free forms aside from the strict grid. With the aid of the supporting walls Villa Garche achieves a directionality towards the longitudinal axis of site.
